Paramount not greenlighting Legacy while continuing Starfleet Academy into a 2nd season (just to be cancelled) had everyone realize the problem isn't just Kurtzman.

Paramount executives still have some giant retards over there going after a Gen-Z audience that doesn't exist. That seems to be popular among all streamer services. We've seen this pattern consistent with every major streaming service. If a series doesn't increase Gen-Z viewership, then it gets canned. See Amazon's reason for shutting down SG-1 remake which didn't appeal to kids enough.

Paramount passed on Legacy (which would appeal to absolutely no one in Gen-Z) to fund Academy for an audience that doesn't exist. Academy numbers come back and they are surprised no one watched it. When will these streamers just be happy with the viewer base they have and stop trying to compete with Tiktok, shorts, and reels.

I’m assuming it was in the stock footage they used in the SNW pilot episode. They never referred to any of the footage by name, he basically was talking about society breaking down due to polarization and then WW3 eventually

Trek has been trying to retcon the Eugenics War for the past 30+ years. Voyager had that episode where they go back to the 90s and are confused because our 90s don’t align with TOS 90s and they explain it away with time travel stuff
Sounds like Memory Alpha just added all that stuff based on signs people were holding or something.

The fucking retards they have now would probably recast captain kirk as a black lesbian, spock as a fat faggot, and have wil wheaton play checkov. Then put them all on enterpise G and ignore everything that came before.
Pretty sure literally none of that would happen. Maybe in ten years, since both the quality and competency levels seem to be on a gradual downslope.

So wait, we got Starfleet Academy instead of an Enterprise-G show? Hoooooly shit.

I've been over here getting pumped up for a show that isn't going to exist. Considering how much they dropped the ball by never doing shows with Ent-B and Ent-C, or a Captain Sulu show for that matter (I would have had that be the Ent-B show as well), it's fucking nuts that they're just gonna create an awesome Ent-G and then leave it unused like they did with those two.

Well, there's a good chance it would have sucked, if it was run by the Picard showrunner. He's only 1 for 3 on producing good seasons of that show.

Academy is only getting a 2nd season because they already filmed it before season1 even aired

Yes they rejected the Legacy Enterprise-G show and authorized budget for Academy instead to go after the non-existent Gen-Z viewership.

All of the cast, Seven of Nine, and so forth were fully signed on and ready to do it. All of the actors were willing to take whatever pay and just do it for the love of the franchise.

Legacy would have been slop-- but it'd be good kind of slop ala Season 3 of Picard. I brought it up to point out it's not really Kurtzman by himself ruining Star Trek. Paramount/CBS make their own contributions such as telling him to chase Gen-Z viewers over the established fan-base. Whether Legacy would have been memberberries nostalgia or not, at least it has an existing viewership that will tune in. No one showed up for Academy.
