I guess I shouldn't be surprised there's a Mexican space Marine.
If it's an RTS I don't really care, but if they actually managed to do something like PlanetSide with three factions, and all of them play differently, that might be pretty neat.

You know one of the greatest FPS LAN games ever made was AVP2. I would totally be on board if they made a game where basically Zerg is the alien's, space Marines are space Marines, and the Protoss are predators. Do an easy campaign for each of the different factions but the real stuff is the multiplayer.
Could be really great but I doubt that is in the cards.

I dont doubt the game will be garbage, but it was a pretty good trailer, the feeling of those massive barracks flying in. Semi predictable rug pull of seeing all that goes into this dude getting hyped up and trained. And then reality of the 40k style life expectancy of a marine.

Correct, I wouldnt say it hard like that at all. But it wasn't bad at all either. SC 2 came on the heels of everything else blizzard did being golden. I was kinda meh on sc2, and shortly thereafter the wheels started coming off everything else they did. It could be every bit as good of a trailer and it still wouldn't hit the same because we have all the emotional baggage of knowing they havn't done anything positive really in a decade.

So I had missed what the dude said on stage, but he said "open world shooter". Asmon could be BSing, but he claims that he has info that explains why the release is so far away and suggesting that is a good thing.
A Helldivers type game wouldn't really explain that away, so it could be they are aiming for something more ambitious and more in line with a Planetside-style Starcraft game. We do know they had been working on a Battlefield style SC game that got canceled some years back.

Man if they actually pulled off what I was saying about that AVP2/PlanetSide game, not going to lie I'd be pretty excited. Not going to hold my breath though, but color me intrigued.

No man totally a marine doing pushups while a GPT narrative played was "not bad".
AI slop might be an improvement-- maybe they should look into some tools next time.
And don't think nu-Blizzard isn't capable. The Diablo 4 announcement, the Vessel of Hatred announcement, and Lord of Hatred announcement trailers all blew the fucking doors off the convention the last several years.
I called this out for what it is.
