The graphics were better than that old SC2 cutscene but yes, the content of that one handily beats this one.

I liked this cutscene - pretty in line with Mengsk's character and the Dominion.

My favorite SC cutscene is the Heart of the Swarm intro

So will this be developed in house? I heard Nexon was fishing for a deal but maybe that was fake.

Presumably. If they're advertising the game this early, it may also be an attempt to fish for talent hires.

I still play SC2 Co-op and the SP campaign from time to time. Still the best RTS campaign since its launch to date, maybe competing with RA2 for best of all time.

Obviously, pretty disappointed with this direction. I did like the cutscene, though.

And there it is! lol

I'm going to assume you can only be Terran in this (easier to make loot in a looter shooter that way and you've already got a bunch of core class-types ready to go if you go that route: Marine, Medic, Firebat, Ghost) and since it is Dominion, between the events of the end of BW and the start of SC2 is most likely

UE5 is interesting - has Blizzard used outside engines before for main titles?

The marine unit in SC is a bit interesting because it's so closely related to other IPs that make them extremely powerful units, including WH40K, Fallout, Halo.

They're overpowered to sell dolls (wh40k) and to provide the player power (halo, fallout), but when that unit concept is ported to an RTS in StarCraft there's a clear juxtaposition which is expressed beautifully by this vid.
