Steam News - Store pages, now officially wider - Steam News
A set of updates coming out of beta, plus some visual refresh along the way
The changes to the store pages are so overdue. Previously if you were pedantic like me and wanted videos to be larger but not full screen you had to middle click a link to the game and that would open it in a new Steam window, and then maximizing it in that window would make it the size of the window. Now, natively, there's a Youtube-like theater mode on the store pages. So much nicer.
Think my final lingering pet peeve with the store is how meh the homepage is, and then they roll out really nice carousels and displays during events. Give me a plain version of one of the event styles and it would be so much nicer.

Steam has Horizon Zero Dawn on sale, and if (like me) you already own the game on Steam you can get the visual upgrade , using the Forbidden West visuals, for $6.00. To me it was a no-brainer.

Nah, it's just a Nixxes remaster of the original game. It doesn't actually use anything from Forbidden West; gameplay is the same as the [far superior] original and the only changes to Aloy are from lighting and animations. They removed the forced PSN bullshit on Steam too.

said it is minor changes. I just recall that in Forbidden West some of the rock animations were so sharp you could cut yourself with them. I only posted because $6.00 is barely a burger at Wendy's anymore.- 1

I played it on MS gamepass & enjoyed it. I didn't do all the fetch quests but they felt like filler anyhow. I would like to buy it and do another run (with mods) but that would be in a few years and when it gets around $20-30.

I randomly picked this up on sale for something new on the steam deck and it’s great so far. Lots of different ways to customize and upgrade skills. Bunch of currency to spend in various ways. Out of map currency to unlock upgrades that you can swap around to make different builds. Bunch of characters to unlock.

Yeah, I've enjoyed this, though haven't played it a ton and only single player, whenever I've gotten to the final boss a couple times he just annihilates me, lol. It's been $13 for a while on loaded.com (cdkeys) as well.
