It's like a 100gb download/update. I looked and some people are saying theirs is 5gb and some 100gb. Mine is like getting the game again.

Take my Steam Deck out, charge it, patch it, remember that I cannot find a single game I can play using thumbsticks, nor can I get used to a tiny screen, put it away again. Repeat every 3-6 months.

Haha, I tried to play helldivers on the couch with a controller and I feel like a retard. I used to be okay with a controller but now that I fly drones in sim racing for screenshots my brain cant decide which way it wants the vert stick mapped.

Streaming from your pc is the way to go. I tested several titles last night and it felt great. I might beat bg3 now even though the ui is hard to figure out.

I tried streaming from the PC but it was kinda wonky. But might have been our shitty Wifi acting up. Also not liking it firing the PC up to run a game.

Geforce Now is really nice but it is kinda expensive.

Playing Hollow Knight right now on the Deck and it'sa great game for it. Just that I suck, a lot.

I have it so it disables my two monitors connected to the PC, so thankfully it only uses the PC resources and doesn't keep the screens on.

It's just a nice alternative when I don't want to sit at a PC all night... Which I do at work all day.

As for the bg3 interface. I beat it on PS5, so if the controller UI is the same you get used to it pretty quick. It's a little harder to do actions but after awhile it becomes muscle memory.

Know if they still have any kind of upgrade program? I bought the biggest memory gen 1, might want a oled for the hell of it.

They do not have a program for that. Just gotta sell your LCD on your own then buy a OLED if you wanna upgrade.

Any suggestions on an attachable battery pack? My 1st gen Deck battery is cooked.
This one comes with a magnetic clip, just attaches to the back. And the cable was made specifically for the deck, fits perfectly.

The Steam Deck is really repairable though, so if it's just the battery it's an easy switch like Denamian Denamian mentioned above.

I think you can buy and replace pretty much every component and nothing is soldered.

Bu that battery pack seems pretty nice if you want some longer sessions!
