The whole military aspect is super weird anyways. They were just chilling in the upside down so they mustve known about the abyss. Either that or they had no fuckin ide Vecna existed and was pulling the desolate planet down and were just outsmarted by some high schoolers

Yeah there was no explanation of wtf the military was thinking, which could've been solved by Linda Hamilton being the general sent to clean up the mess made by rogue researchers or whatever. Instead she's making tentacle monsters angry with blow dryers.

If you cut all the emo scenes and lotr ending the last episode would have been 30 minutes. I remember at the finale seeing a hour left and thinking, OH TWIST INCOMING...
