Yeah = they both look like they are properly leaning into their characters being what they are - SF2 by virtue of its "most known" visual style (SF2 - cartoon/anime) is always considered "not as serious" as MK due to its visual style (realistic, real people as sprites etc. MK1/2) and the blood and gore.
So when you get into a movie, its a more difficult balance imo for SF to present a conflict and characters that are to be taken seriously than MK does as MK goes dark and serious easily.
The SF2 anime is great, good chung li action as well ;-) the trailer there hints that they may actually reproduce that scene, but I doubt they will go R rating just to do so in this day an age- but the "going to shower" scene then her fight with Vega looks like similar / same location - so it may just be a nod... not that the chung li actress has anything up top to show off...
However, it looks entertaining, and like the MK2 movie it looks like it is again, properly leaning into what it is... hope they both are good and fun and great movies that move hollywood back into making fun stuff.
