Title: Stuart Fails to Save the Universe

Overview: Comic book store owner Stuart Bloom is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist/all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke.

See this is the problem with the ADHD attention span these days, if you had actually stayed for 12 minutes
you would have seen it get worse

It seems to be 90s late night sci-fi special in terms of production values. These days, that has to be a deliberate choice ?

Maybe it's trying to be ironically bad ?

Bizarrely, I saw giant ads for this today - how does it have a marketing budget ?!

I woke up to this playing after falling asleep to something in a completely different genre. Seems HBO is pushing this garbage hard.

I can't imagine how anyone could see the title and/or know who stuart is in BBT and think it wasn't going to be purposely campy and bad. The fact that you are questioning whether it was on purpose gives me hope it might be well done.

Was hoping this had like 10% of futureman’s comedy low brow comedy in it.

It’s just liberal comedy. Aka…not comedy. Needs to up some maturity to consider surviving on a premium network. Oh well.

This is just unwatchably bad, and thats coming from someone who actually liked the dumb premise and watched the whole original series.

I'm not sure if the writers have ever watched BBT. Or understand how humor works on Earth.

probably last post in this thread because I can’t see this surviving. My best hope was there was going to be R rated nostalgia before the target demo ages out of it. It was a good window too…

Like imagine protagonist having to deal with alien titties or something. So much room for comedy. You don’t even have to change the way the main character interacts.

multiverse. Video game nostalgia. Titties. Comedy gore.

Maybe there’s hope. Probably not.

I thought the first two episodes were... fine? I didn't watch BBT past the first couple of seasons. I did watch all of Young Sheldon but that was a completely different type of show.

Anyway, I've had a few chuckles. Not sure what the expectations were for this.

My only problem with it is that the asshole with the speech impediment became a main character.
