I spent last night getting to level 11 and on to the fleet. Holy shit this game is much more fun when I spam spacebar. ha-ha Also, with 35% xp boost or whatever the major is, I leveled pretty quickly.
Picked up playing a sniper. Can you warzone/instance grind in this game? It seems these legacy bonuses work only in those instances or just "story mission" quests. I really don't know what is a story mission. Is it the planet one or the class one or both?
Edit: moontayle, can you tell me what a good sniper leveling build is? I"m too lazy to look one up.

Story mission lists as class mission in your journal. Before when I would want to distinguish the two, early on there is a pop up window that would alert you are in a class mission only. Most people click the never show this to me again box, but I used it as a way to remind me what I was doing was a class quest and to watch the story cut scenes. What server are you on? You better be on POT5 and if you are not, reroll.
And yes you can warzone and instance grind. And when you get your ship the space missions also help. If you are really interested in only seeing the stories, the best way to do this is level a class to 10, choose your advanced class, move it to the PTS, buff it to 50, and run through the class missions only per planet. Takes a LOT less time and you can whiz through all the story lines quickly if that is your goal.
PvP is abolutely fucked now with the new system they have in place. The Bolstering is completely whacked over the second tier. So if you like PvP, I would recommend doing it now before you hit level 32 or so, whenever the next PvP level range is.
The only problem with turning and burning flashpoints is that the dungeon finder tool is still server only. It usually takes about 20-30 mins even with heavily populated servers to get into a group - and for some reason after that, it's been so long people want to do something else and it will take a couple more pop ups and "putting you back into the queue at the front of the line" messages to get going.
But yeah, make sure to log out in Cantinas. Use 25% XP boosts (I use the 3 hour) and for a while you will have double XP and 25%+.
If you are looking to play for a couple weeks, I would say also to pony up the $14.99 so you do not have to deal with the horseshit restrictions. You will level through the content much faster and when you are done or bored, just conk out and go back to premium.

Last Saturday I had 10 people that logged out because I told them the patcher caused an inherent CPU overheating anamoly unless they upgraded their BIOS on I2500k CPU's.
Some of the complainers in the main threads are mad at Bioware for letting something like the quick 55 ability through the cracks and making the game look bad and a laughingstock of the MMO community again. They have a point.
Draegan, you probably want to use the legacy perks to up pvp xp too on your specific character. By the way, how'd you have 6k cartel coins? When I came back only had about 1500 or maybe less from the 100 per month for having authenticator... you get some free shit for the website?
My sub has never lapsed. I guess they built up? I haven't logged into the game in quite some time. I got some super pack that unlocked every single xp legacy perk, rocket boots, and piloting skill. And some other shit I think. It cost like 6k coins.
Im enjoying the expansion so far but Im not too far in yet, just level 52 on my BH. I hope to finish her out in the next day or two then flip over to a Repub character and see how the story on that side shakes out. Im on the Shadowlands server if anyone needs a partner for heroics, post here and ill hunt you down. My BH name is T?ana (funky key code in her name)
Well I spent the 25 for expansion and 1 month sub today. Customer service told me that the 30 day sub also kicks in on the 14th with the expansion since I did not buy before Jan 7th.
Anyway tried the new space mission with t7 space gear ...
Dude I was real good at the old ones but these 6 new ones I just suck. I only beat one just barely, the one you escort a bomber then take out a destroyer and 3 jedi/sith fighters. I had 150 hull left when I took out the last jedi, switched to shield regen and started rolling till I got credit. The other 5 I have yet to make it to the end timewise alive yet alone finishing them.
But did them so much my Sith Jugg is now 1 exp from 51. Have to wait till Sunday to level him.

They get easier with practice, you start to learn when to expect the burst, when to pop your cooldowns, etc. I clear the daily with all the bonuses completed now, no problem. The hardest part is learning how to take down the frigates but once you got that going for you it largely becomes cake. Also, make sure you're using your WASD keys as well as the mouse, you can keep the mouse steady on a target and use the keys to avoid fire.
Is there a cookie-cutter build for an IA Operative? The class seems like a mix-up of some healing, ranged and melee dmg. I'd prefer to go mostly melee with a tanking pet.
Not as of yet. Pretty much everything changed with 2.0, including the placement of many skills in a tree, and people are still trying to figure things out. I took a stab based upon what I might use for my Operative.
