yeah. its so easy, that toning back player power is probably the right move. dark fantasy. should be at least a little bit scary and challenging.
as a mage, pretty sure there were only two things remotely a threat. wyrd knight first time. and galahad. and really both were more just hp sponges then real threats. every other npc including bosses I was goofing around and trying things. not fighting for real.
I don't remember what setting I started. probably normal. I think higher difficultly is just hp sponge, more hp. Which IDK. one shotting enemies by the end of act 1 was the norm. so more hp would help.. a bit.. but honestly, the difficulty issue is more then that. enemies are slow, don't have complex attacks etc. can easily dance around them, stay out of melee, even if I wasn't using summons..
double checking a new game. yeah.
pretty sure I did adventure mode. veteran says enemies hit harder, and have more hp.
that would not matter much for mage. maybe matter some for melee. and cost rangers more arrows..
there is also the "survival mode". Which says, "can only save at bonfires". not sure if food or anything else is a factor here.
if its just "can only save at bonfires" eh.. thats, not a huge deal. you can create bonfires outside at any time, anywhere. so trivial. in dungeons. theres only like 1 mega dungeon in the game. the rest are honestly pretty small caves. you can't create bonfires in the dungeons/caves. so this is a small challenge, but not really anything major.
