As one of the resident Old Farts, being born in '69 I'm remember enough of the 70's to feel like a kid of both decades. Some of the stuff you guys are posting (like Schoolhouse Rock for instance) are actually legacy items passed on from us 70's kids to the 80's. There was some things from 70's that, in a more perfect world, would have lived on that you guys who came later missed out on:

Shogun Warriors, contemporaries of the large Godzilla figure and precursors to the Transformers (smaller versions could change shape and there was one named Megatron in the Shogun Warriors comic book).

If Darth Vader fucked a Lego, their unholy offspring would have been Baron Karza:

The Micronauts were the ultimate transformers before The Transformers. Dozens of different figures and vehicles, and most of the pieces were fully interchangeable between them.

Ahh the heady days of toys with spring loaded projectiles that could choke your toddler cousins faster than you could say "Fire!!!".
Wow! This brings back early childhood memories! I went as Baron Karza in just about the first or second Halloween that I remember.

When I go shopping for presents for children I'm always a bit dismayed. They just don't make cool toys like they used to!

After doing a search, I think the 'Alien movie' artwork and such on this was just a knock-off to get around copyright as it's called 'Space invaders'

But it was a good machine and was at a place near me, so I played it quite a lot.

This is on Netflix. It hasn't held up well.

Hah, even as a kid I knew it wasn't that great of quality. But it still had its charms. Watched it on Netflix when I saw it too and it still satisfied my nostalgia. Plus, that soundtrack!
