"The Acolyte comes from reports that the series had reentered the "top 10 shows" chart for Disney+ in April of this year. Interest seems to be inspired by its similarly dark Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord show"

when i looked into this, none of the sites posted the numbers just point to a website that updates daily and need a paid sub to see anything historical. interest wasn't inspired, it was just people with autoplay on and D put the acolyte up next. according to MS, it was #9 for 1 day on the daily chart.

I'm sure it's marketing probes in some form or another. I'd not put it past disney to double down on this utter disaster with a s2. I unsubbed from d when they redoubled the price again last year. No idea if this shite is still on the service. I suspect it still is, as you state, autoplay.

The other day I watched The Empire Strikes Back on Disney+, just the one. It ends and D+ goes "Hey since you liked this, you'll probably like The Acolyte" and was about to load it up.

Return of the Jedi was the second suggestion after The Acolyte.
