I think you're retarded if you're going to blacklist someone for political beliefs. That's what the left does. Isolation and echo chambers is not a healthy way to live. Besides, if you're not a liberal, it's a very deep rabbit hole, and it's way too much trouble.
My personal blacklist has people on it who's acting or face I don't like. Tom Cruise, Nick cage, and I think there was another one.
But saying all that, jane fonda is on my list too. She became physically repulsive to me when I heard stories about her in Vietnam. I was very sad too, cause I had killed many babies to Barbarella and now I can't watch it. I have since learned that the worst of the stories were lies, but I haven't tried to crank down to her yet to see if that revelation changed anything.

I don’t “blacklist”except in the most severe of cases, like I talk about boycotting shit on Twitter but it’s always shit I don’t use or wouldn’t us in the first place.
My version of blacklisting is not giving them my direct money.
I already pay for Netflix so it doesn’t cost me anything additional to watch something on there and if I don’t want to wait, or it’s not available, I will just pirate it.
Boycotting is just virtue signalling.
Protest with your dollar and still consume the media in question, win-win.

this may come as a shock, but i dont hold TLJ against RJ, he made the movie he felt like making. i blame Kathleen Kennedy and Disney for fucking up the most beloved franchise in movie history even worse than the prequels. if they just admitted they goofed and promised to do better, starting with axing the dumbshits responsible i would give them the benefit of the doubt. not only are they not apologizing or firing anyone. they double downed and attacked the fans for not liking their shit. Star Wars is dead to me. for real dead.

of course, thats your opinion and i agree with it completely. but thats not the issue. the issue is allowing a third rate director make the film he wanted to make and then releasing it in the first place. KK and Disney did this with full knowledge that it completely shits on the first film's continuity and doesnt provide material for an adequate third film. so yeah Rian Johnson dun goofed, but he was allowed to goof. perhaps intentionally.

People in the herd who follow boycotts generally have no idea what it involves. "I am boycotting company X". They do no research to find that company X owns 18 other companies and brands that they use each day and continue using out of ignorance. Also, people tend to boycott when there is a readily available substitution so no real pain is involved. Try boycotting the only dry cleaner in a small town and wearing a suit each day to work. Not gonna happen.
