I really don't like the 'keep bans private' policy either. But here you're free to say whatever you wish, so feel free to explain why this server isn't worth playing on.
Everybody who gets banned always plays the corrupt card. Explain why this time is different.
I don't handle bans. I haven't even touched the server code in about a month. I've been busy irl instead
The current z-axis issues are frustrating, but I have confidence that the staff will address them quickly. Barring that, I can't really see a new, compelling reason to not play on the server. Just don't be surprised if you end up being punished as a result of not being able to follow simple rules. if you can't resist constantly provoking staff members in every medium available to you or boxing more than three characters, this might not be the server for you.
I've played on the server since it was in the alpha phase of testing. I've exploited bugs, I've been caught exploiting bugs by members of the staff. Guess what? I owned up to it, stopped doing it, and my account is still open. The moral of the story is that if you act like a rational human being and treat the volunteers running the server with respect, (as difficult as this seems for people to do when they're logged onto an EverQuest emu) you're going to be fine on here. On the other hand, if you're caught boxing more than 3 characters as someone with a history of breaking the rules, and threaten to DDOS the datacenter that the server is hosted in, you're going to get yourself and your friends banned.
Funny thing, Furst linked a post earlier trying to demonstrate how ban-happy and unfair the staff is. If he'd only read the thread to its conclusion he would have found that there was a mutual misunderstanding and the issue was dealt with amicably. Nobody ended up banned.
edit: And this post isn't meant to convey that the staff here is infallible either; I disagree with some of the decisions that they've made thus far. But, you have to understand that there are constructive avenues to address said decisions. Spamming their forums with nonsense isn't one of them.

This time is different...because prior to 2/19 there was no rule about a banning by association. Which means any bans extend to any account someone logs in, or I guess if you have logged in their account. The staff(speedz) loves to keep making up new rules. To me its not worth sticking around to get banned, I am not the only one who feels the same about this. Speedz and Zarwayne said there have only been 5 bans. The latest ban(ban#5?) banned 6 total people, I am not a fan of guilty by association.

Considering the particular people bitching about the bans on their forums and their past record of pot stirring on P1999 (not you guys posting here), I'm giving the staff the benefit of the doubt. They (the staff) should give those that were banned because of "guilt by association" (i.e. account sharing) an opportunity to plead their case via PM however, since that rule was not clear. But the whiners (Alarti, Bottyburp, etc.) aren't helping those banned - and obviously aren't really trying to, either.
sometimes I like to believe that some of the people playing EQ are also responsible for the "do not consume" label on hemorrhoid cream...
Not to mention as far as I know 3 Skarlon Swords have dropped on the server, they are the best 2 handers. First one went to Kharsa, second went to Draul, third went to Main.
After Draul decided to main switch prolly 3 weeks after the sword was looted Speedz(or some GM) transferred the sword to Smackage. Smackage wasnt even part of the raid or in the zone when Draul looted his sword. I never brought this up before but if he is willing to do that and mass ban people, who knows what is really going on. But then again this story could be fabricated as well, because I heard it from Draul / kilroy / ingwit / rallick , who has since shown his true colors. At the time this happened I believed him.

I'm not involved with GM decisions, and frankly I find out more about what's going on from players than I do other staff a lot of the time, but you are conveniently omitting relevant information.
Really, you guys account share far too easily. I don't understand the need when you can 3 box. If you share your account with somebody who is DDoSing the datacenter p99 and TAKP are hosted, then don't act shocked when those accounts have bad things happen to them; particularly when they broke the server rules. ("nobody reads the terms of service" is a poor excuse) It's not unheard of for games to ban every account that was logged into from a certain IP, if it was a particularly bad actor.
Isn't p99 delaying Velious solely because of DDoS threats? or is that just a rumor? Dev chat hasn't even mentioned any of this to be honest.

good thing I believe its not worth playing there anymore. Hell I'd start a casino on the server and give out my gear, but Ive been told casinos are against the rules as well. We have difference in opinions in guilt by association and guilty till proven innocent.

Oh btw Torven, Vox is buggy as all hell. We were testing her last night, she only starts CHing when she hits 15% health. She should start at around 40% i believe, at 15% you can just blow her up before it lands. Hard to notice when you are a raid force, but as GM it was obvious shes broken. Not even mentioning the fear warping you around the zone, but "that is a know issue...should have buffed MR".
Is it true that Rogean forced the staff here to Ban the former IB RMTers? and Eashan and crew or he would delist the server from EQemu? Now they are threatening to DDOS EQEMU again?

a_skeleton_02 did you make this up? You tend to make things up. Its funny when you do. But think really hard and ask yourself "Is this just a lie I really really believe in?" The best liars are the people who believe their lies.
From what the GMs have said on TAK, Rogean said they had to ban Eashan and anyone associated with him, or they would remove the server from from their box/server farm.
On a side note I guess I got banned for what I posted here. Ive submitted an email to get unbanned lets see how this goes, friend of mine said he never got a response.

Rumor is I got banned for RMT which is completely false, and anyone I logged in got banned as well.
