I think there's a 1mb file size limit.

Well it's smaller then 1MB. I don't know how small, though. Just tried one at 950k and it failed...

The attach images options are odd, it'll reference an image you upload from your machine, but it wont treat it as an animated gif....
If you opt to link to an external site, it seems to work, but that is not always the best bet...
