One's I've seen are pretty well planned out. The one that wasn't...the flying squirrel ended up a smudge on the side of a bridge. If I remember correctly, he hit it going over 200mph. Oh, he was also wearing a GoPro and you can watch it from his POV.

I don't think it survived. If I remember correctly the SD card survived.

Yeah I found a similar thing, 2 years ago I saw a tiny plastic thing about 18 feet down in a lake, when I pulled it out of the mud I saw 4 props from a drone. The SD card survived, and I used reverse image search to find a town in Mass, and a bunch of beaches in Maine they flew the drone. I gave my phone number and the serial# to DJI, and they were kind enough to pass it to the drone owner. I mailed the SD card back so they got their vacation movies back. It motivated me to get a drone.

And I just now realized my DJI Avata2 uses internal storage, so maybe I should get it to write to SD card as well just in case lol
