I thought she just looked british. The beauty version wasn't better looking, just younger. I thought the older one was skinnier/in better shape too, when she changed the beauty version was pretty thick by comparison.

Also in the thinks she looked better before crowd. I had to look up her creds, definitely had seen her before and it was making my brain itch. She was in the Prestige, which i've seen a few times and enjoyed. So it's probably that. Also Iron Man 3 (lol no) and a couple modern Godzilla movies.

The last episode I watched it changed that dude into a chick then the Assassin killed the guy who gave it to them. Did they expand on that? I figured it was a throwaway character to show the virus doesn't work the way we think it does.

I don't know if theres ever been a more overt preaching of the trans message in anything I've ever had the misfortune to watch.
I don't know if it was intended as the finale but I will definitely be interpreting it that way.

Got it, i took it as the virus makes you look how you want to look ideally, but I can see what you are saying. I guess it would be unlikely they would kill that character since it was two years prior. I find the show strange enough to finish it, looking at imdb Lux Pascal is only credited in the one episode so I dont think you will see the trans character again.

It ended on a cliffhanger. no real closure. I will not be watching season 2 , if it gets made. It was like it cockblocked itself.

I didn't see this yet but I thought they said it turned you into your ideal version of yourself? For a dick chopper it kind of makes sense.

Was fine with the X-files episodes at the start for 2-3 eps.
Didn't carry. Stopped watching after the trans plot turn. Ashton Kutcher's take was interesting at first in the beginning of the season, but didn't really carry with me. Not interested in the character anymore. Became more of a caricature. Not enough mystery. Mystery box stuff was carrying the early episodes. Once we had those answers it fell off a cliff. I think the character was over-exposed by mid-season and should have kept his scenes very limited.
There was all this mystery and X-Files vibe which felt good-- now everything just sort of sucks about the show after the first few episodes.

Instead they just go 'Aaah unexpected side effects, wait we had to get fda approval ? Wait we are getting sued ? Nooo, how could this happen'.
It's like all the writers for the final episodes didn't get told what happened earlier in the show and just kind of guessed what was going on.

I'd buy that. The first few episodes feel like a different show tonally. I realize this had to go somewhere else, but the first few eps were well-written-- everyone I know was hooked. Not much to look forward to besides the assassin guy, who is carrying most of the show since the FBI shit evaporated.
I might go back and finish it since I made it 6 episodes.
