To the people who have put significant time into their consoles already, how are your controllers doing? Especially the thumb sticks, any credence to the flaking issues I've been seeing?
Maybe this easier than what I'm trying to figure out but a flaking issue? My google fu fails me also.

There is a thread on NeoGaf about it:DS4 thumb sticks might have a problem? - NeoGAF

It's about the rubber that peels off the analog sticks.

The starting point (a picture found of reddit) looks fake as hell, but then several forum users there noticed they have similar (though less extreme) problems. It's unclear at this point if it's a case of bad batch, poor plastic selection, gamers with abrasive thumbs (job related calluses?), difference in the way to use the stick or whatever...

I finished Knack, or rather I finished the first play through of Knack. While the game steals most of its content from Ratchet and Clank sprinkled with Kameo, I get the distinct impression the developers were aiming for a MegaMan type of game. The first time through you have access to pretty much nothing and the game is kinda brutal, but then in subsequent playthroughs you can use different suits (Knack forms) and spice things up considerably.

Thing is, no one really wants to go through multiple playthroughs anymore on a platformer like this.

Sony should have just offered unlimited hookers and blow + whatever other incentive they could imagine to get Infamous: Second Son out for the launch.

Holy shit. I'm sure i'll get negged for reselling, but I listed the four extra PS4s I got from Newegg at $565.00 each on Ebay. Literally sold all four within five minutes. Really regretting not keeping the other 25 I had on Pre-order lol.
be sure to get signature delivery on em all and only ship to confirmed addresses, its very easy to chargeback with paypal and eBay and they will always side with the buyer, especially if credit cards are involved. One single chargeback and it will wipe out all your profit.

Walmart is going to be selling xbone and ps4 games this friday, Nov 22nd, at $49 each for a small savings. The ad mentions only COD Ghosts, BF4, and NBA 2k14 so dunno if more games will be involved or not. BF4 should be available for $25-35 on black friday, and the PC version should be $30 ($20 with origin coupon) on Cyber Monday.

Is anyone able to play Battlefield 4 multiplayer? It keeps telling me I cannot connect to EA servers.

I've been using the fuck out of them and have no signs of wear what so ever. Just played AC4 all night long and no problems at all. I also have had one of my controllers for weeks and had been playing PS3 games with it.

Watching you now.

What is the resolution? It is very blurry, like I am watching something from the Wii. Not sure if that is on my end or a limitation on the streaming abilities of the PS4? Can it stream at 1080p? I guess it might be an issue with upload speeds as well? I have fast download, but very slow upload. Like 30mbs down but 1 up.
Unfortunately it's entirely dependent on my shitty 896 Kbps upload, I don't even had a solid 1 Meg. Sadly I don't really have any other options either. Hopefully CenturyLink brings fiber here at some point.

Sean, I'm astounded at how fast you can pick up collectibles and complete objectives at the same time. It's seamless. You're like a robot.
Hah, yeah I'm efficient as hell when I'm in a groove and doing well. Last couple hours were rough though, been awake all night and decided to take down the 4 legendary ships which took a few tries and was difficult while tired. Totally sapped the last of my energy doing that and then immediately after I did a really shitty follow/eavesdrop that I kept screwing up immediately on. Managed to finish it though and decided to give it a rest for now.

Am at 70% completion on the main screen.

Well... this is quite the mistake:http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/a...at-launch.aspx

Microsoft announced new details about how Twitch will work on the Xbox One at launch. The good news is that you'll be able to watch videos and earn achievements. The bad news is that you won't be able to stream directly from your console for another couple of months at least.

"We know the ability to instantly broadcast gameplay is something the gaming community is excited about, and we are too," Microsoft writes on the Xbox Wire site. "We are working to ensure the initial Twitch on Xbox One broadcasting experience meets the expectations of the Twitch community, so while this feature won't be available right away, we'll let you know as soon as it is ready. Our goal is to deliver it during the first part of 2014."
Not prioritizing that for launch is a huge mistake, imo. The PS4 streaming is an absurd amount of free advertising.

But hey, you'll be able to earn achievements! lololol.

So, Comcast has internet packages with 6mb, 25mb, and 50mb for my area, but I have no clue what the uploads on those are. I don't have the means to switch over right now, but it might be worth doing at some point despite my immense dislike for them.

Comcast is easy to screw in most areas. I haven't been off the promo pricing in years.

Call get their new customer price. There is usually a year offer for top speed at around 30.

When it's up cancel say your moving.

Call again, Sign up under wife.

Repeat.

Takes all of 10 minutes to get a new account and add the Mac address of your modem. I only use them for internet. 50m down I think it's 10 up.

As for controllers, mine isn't having any issue. I can see how that material would flake off though. I can also see how it would be easy to pick at it once it does

Well, don't buy an entire bundle with them. Just get Comcast internet, but keep your TV/Phone services through the other company.

An immense dislike for Comcast but not Century Link? When I started looking at internet options in the Seattle area about a month ago I looked at Yelp to get some feedback on Century Link cause I had never heard of it before. Pretty much every review on there said, "Yeah, I don't like Comcast, but Century Link is WORSE. DO NOT sign up with these guys." Slow speeds and terrible customer service were the general consensus I saw there, one star average review. Is it not really that bad?

Depends where you are, they charge back alley rape prices on nonbundles in this state. But the competition is sparse thus far, just FiOS really.

I had absolutely no problems with CenturyLink at my old apartment and literally 0 drops that were the fault of the ISP. I had some problems when I moved to the apartment I'm living in now, but it was due to a faulty modem. The service has been rock solid. I also had amazing customer service with Tarrant helping me out with the modem, he was awesome.

So no, from my experience in having them as an ISP for about 6 years they are really not that bad.

Count on the uploads sucking. My 50mbps on Time Warner is only 5Mbps upload. If I had to guess, I'd bet the 25mb is probably 3, maybe 5 at best upload, and the 6MBps is probably 1 upload.
