The lack of any meaningful Kinect titles at launch seems moronic, especially given that every Xbone features it as a prominent part of the whole console. Yeah there are gestures and stuff in Dead Rising 3, but that doesnt seem enough.
Then again the application of the dual shock four touchpad so far has been as a second and much more difficult to use d-pad.

There's just no way to make a Killer App for Kinect. It is a dead end for games and pretty much only meaningful as a media center tool (and TVs are having their own gesture control built into them now, so yeah...).
The Touchpad has other uses than that. Like in AC4 you can scroll around the map with it and pinch to zoom in/out. It is kind of gimmicky so far, but it does have uses for extra input.

Meh, doubt we'll even notice anything this minor update does. Though maybe EA games will be less crashy (unlikely).

So after two nights with the PS4, I'm loving it. They took the PS3 and just made everything better. It really is a great piece of hardware, especially for four hundred. AC4 looks amazing. Can't wait for my new TV to arrive. Resogun and AC4 on 60" plasma, fuck yeah.
Party chat is awesome too. I enjoyed talking to people while playing different games a lot more than I ever thought I would. The headset is a piece of shit though. It is like they intentionally made an earpiece that can't fit in an ear. Need to find something better to use.

What were you using before? You should always be on WPA2/AES unless for some reason you want common exploits to blow away your router.

I can't tell if it's just the new car smell or if NFS Rivals really is goddamned fucking awesome. I haven't had this much fun with an arcade racer in years.

*gumble grumble* I pre-orded NFS:Rivals off Amazon (not with B2g1 free) late to get the pre-order bonus shit but it is still on backorder. I may have to cancel it and just go pick it up at my local Gamestop if they don't get the move on. This game must be insanely popular to be backorded a week knowing how fast they have to be able to pump out CD's.

I wanted to give the kinect the benefit of the doubt, but goddamn repeating the same command 2-4 times every time would get annoying as shit to not only myself but anyone living around me. I think they're trying to do too much. He seemed much faster with the controller.
The first time I used voice commands was in tom clancy's rainbow six vegas. It went something like this.
Tol: Stack up, team!
