My entire circle of friends bought the xboxone on release or right after. They had literally zero idea about the drm stuff or anything else, just that they played CoD on Xbox so they had to get the new xbox to play the new CoD. Intrawebz people may have railed about the shitty decision making process for the xbox, but the CoDBroz didn't care then and don't care now. The system war will be much closer this time around, with the edge to Sony probably thanks to better reception in other countries and that is more or less it.

This. This is what I imagine is going to happen. Replace CoD with FF or Uncharted or whatever shit SonyBronys play and it's the same deal. PS4 should edge them out because it's 100 dollars cheaper, the Japanese eat home cookin' up, and not anything to do with the hardware.
Oh and I think Between Canada and Mexico Microsoft PROBABLY managed to sell an additional 91,000 XB1s.

They haven't announced that they broke 1mill yet but if they were at 900k nine days after release I think they'll far surpass 1.1mill in the next few months.
I'm still pretty happy with my 3mill PS4 and 2mill XB1 guess, but if I did it again I'd bump it to 4 and 3.

all of us were wrong and you gotta man up and admit it. xbone didn't have esram production problems, they have pretty much cranked em out. PS4's aren't raining down from heaven like candy, they are still hard/almost impossible to get. PS4 is outselling xbone worldwide but the difference is fairly small, I can't see any reason why it won't stay fairly even for the next year. There are no real standout launch games, the best ones imo are AC4 and NFS and the PC versions are best. the best exclusive is probably Killer Instinct, xbone only.
you know what game just blows major donkey balls? Killzone: Shadow Falls. Holy shit its probably the worst game I have played this year (i didnt play simcity or aliens to be fair). Gamestop is going to give $40 for most ps4 and xbone games next week, and I think I'm going to trade it in unfinished, I can't even remember the last game I didn't finish. I enjoy pretty much every game I play but this is the first in a long time that I have regretted buying, but luckily I bought it with amazons b2g1 promo so if gamestop gives me $40 it would pretty much have cost me nothing.

I found KIllzone to be a mildly enjoyable experience... nothing great, but not hard to finish either. That sucks.
My predictions weren't based on ESRAM production issues or anything.. just xboner sucking dick.
Edit: Looking at my predictions I'll stand by my 2014 prediction but i think my 2015 prediction is a bit far fetched.

Looks like the Xbone isn't DOA like some said and that brand loyalty and games really do matter over all the shit about graphics. I'm happy with my PS4 purchase but I'll probably end up getting a Xbone down the line also.
Is anyone working on a gizmo for the PS4 like that thing for the XBONE that allows you to use the keyboard and mouse for whatever game you want? I bought killzone again and I simply can't get used to playing a fucking FPS with a god damn controller. I dunno what the hell happened. I used to be really good with HALO and shit but apparently with age I have lost the ability to adapt back to a controller and turned retarded.
