According to most sources I've read, the graphical differences are almost indistinguishable in most cases. I don't have a dog in this fight. I just think people are being unreasonable. Both consoles will offer something for everyone. Microsoft just needs to lower their price and revise a couple of their policies.

DOF is used to focus on the actual car in the race-start scenes. It's definitely not a negative, as far as the PS4 screens go. No clue why the Xbone version isn't doing it as well. The actual racing looks almost identical on the two systems, as far as I can tell.

Depends largely on TV size. If you're gaming below 40", very few people will notice anything except additional details (textures or effects or flora) at 50"+ the difference is stark though.
I would imagine a decent number of gamers still have small TVs - even a few next gen adopters in the thread stated they were still - they'll be happy with either no doubt.
Plus the occasionally vision impaired person might not even distinguish with an 80".

I have not bought one but am very close to picking up a ps4.Yup Identical. The resizing was done by the board itself but you can clearly see a difference between the two.
I must say the Xbox image looks far superior in this instance. If I am spending $600-$700 (game, controllers etc) I want to be able to see the backgrounds clearly. The PS4 looks so bad something tells me this is not apples to apples.
Why is the PS4 so blurry? looks like crap imo. I am shocked ! I don't play racing games so not sure if this is normal.

I just like to point out that the "HUGE GRAPHIC AND HARDWARE DIFFERENCE" is now comparing the expiration code on a fucking car's license plate. Also, motion blurring is stupid. It absolutely ruins FPS's. It ain't about immersion, it's about killin'.

Uncharted 4: I laugh. If I want to watch a movie and not have to QTE then I'll do that. Same applies to Ryse.
