I finished it last night, and it's okay I guess. I'm honestly happy that the episodes are only 30 minutes, and even then there seems to be too much family drama and filler. I found myself having a fast forward through some scenes, and I don't normally do that.
It definitely is a crappier Ash versus evil dead.
It's also stealing the concept from that old show Brimstone on Fox back when the X-Files was still premiering. Detective kills the guy who rapes his wife, goes to hell, but gets sent back to hunt down a prison break of people from hell. I think there was only one season, but it was pretty good.

You're honestly not missing out on much. It's pretty blase. If you're willing to just kind of skip through scenes, yeah maybe it's a little bit entertaining, but it's a pretty goddamn shitty show over all.

This show was going to have a difficult time. Supernatural already did the general concept with humans taking on the dark forces of evil. As previously stated, Supernatural just had better charisma than this show has. I assume a 2nd season is coming given the ending. It is not anything I will look forward to, but I will give it a watch as I enjoy the supernatural theme. It has its woke moments which I just fast forwarded through. It was amazing how much family stuff still got squeezed in despite the run time. I felt like the demons were pretty weak given what I would have thought them capable of doing.
Its a campy, corny show that is pretty forgettable, but if you like the demons/devil kind of show, it might be worth watching.

Agree with all the above. There's enough here to like, but a whole lot that could be done better.
It's also the kind of show where in the middle of watching it, I became aware I was doing it wrong by giving it my full attention. It's like they expect you to be on your phone the whole time, and construct the show around that.
Keep yourself busy while watching and you'll enjoy it more.

Shit I never understand about Hollywood. You have a character from somewhere with a specific dialect/accent and you cast someone who doesn't have and can't carry that dialect/accent. Dewey Crowe as a scumbag from Boston? Nah.
Reacher S3 blew, but at least the Boston cop had a real Boston accent. As to this, I liked Bacon and pretty much nothing else about it. Of course his handler from Hell is a fat, ugly Asian.
