Doesn't look bad, but I'm tired of mystery box shows that string you along for however many seasons they can milk it for. I'd be fine if they said: hey we have a story in mind from start to finish and it'll probably take two or three seasons, and that's it, or even do just one season and have a nice long, tight story to tell. With something like this you could do multiple seasons but it only focuses on those characters for that season and then the next one it's a different group of folks with a different mystery so where everything is self-contained per season. At that point you could even bring back older cast members for one-off episodes or something.

Stranger things in a retirement community?

Yeah it's dumb.

And Geena Davis has starlight face. Same vocal paralysis too.

But at least she's 80, not 20.

Finished binging this last night. Great acting and dialog and minimal Made for Netflix. The entire series is mostly carried by Alfred Molina and Dennis O'Hare, but the other cast members are solid. And the mystery bits are well thought out and revealed at a good pace with a minimum amount of "so the movie can happen" contrived shit.

..... until the very ending when it seems like the writers were at a loss on how to wrap things up. Its not bad, but the ending really did not match the creativity and delivery of the rest of the series in a very noticeable way. And more crucially, they really did not explain much of the many loose threads of the mystery at the end of the show while tacking on a super vague bit that is clearly meant to leave an openning for another season. Loved it overall, but they fumbled the ending.
