What horseshit. Is there no movie sacred enough to not get remade? The original is brilliant. Fuck these people.

Apparently its quite a good remake, and its William Friedkin's last movie (French Connection, Sorcerer, Exorcist, etc). Will check it out this weekend.

Not familiar with it all, but the source material is a book. The author of the book made a play out of the trial portion of the story. The 1954 film 'The Cain Mutiny' adapts the book. This 2023 film adapts the play. Hence the title 'The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial'.

There’s also a 1988 version with Jeff Daniels.

Speaking of remakes, I just put on the 2004 Manchurian Candidate. Only seen it once at the cinema

Weird to see a young Anthony Mackie in it
