I've watched them litigate and ruin non approved sit3s with exelent rules, so they could then release fagged up stupid shit for like 20 years. Im real skeptical. The first warning sign is when the races are super toned down vs the striking stat or game changing spreads they had in 2nd edition or 2nd edition revised. And 5th edition is the most boring of all editions as far as races go.

Trailer had a good tone, but most folks were too clothed (why was the thri green wearing a bath robe? They dont wear clothes!). It's not like they are going to fire their art teams and hire brom acolytes.

I got a question for the pathfinder folks.

So persistent damage doesnt stack. But higher damage overwrites lower damage. But this aura says "Each" time a creature. So if a creature were to take 4 instances of fire damage in a turn would it be 4 x 2d4? If it wasnt meant to stack wouldnt it be worded as "When" a creature.

Or am i just being nit picky? lol

Incendiary Aura [two-actions] Focus 1

Source Player Core 2 pg. 260
Mystery flames
Area 10-foot emanation
Duration 1 minute

You surround yourself with a combustible aura. Each time a creature within the emanation takes fire damage, it catches on fire, taking 2d4 persistent fire damage.

Heightened (+2) The persistent damage increases by 1d4 and the radius of the emanation increases by 5 feet.

I don't play PF but I am a min/maxxing autist and read the description of persistent damage.

I read that as it not stacking per se, but lets say it triggers 4 times, they would roll the 2d4 4 times and use the highest damage. But I think the "each time" wording in the aura is there to let you know if the creature puts themselves out they can catch on fire again as long as the aura is active.

One thing I'm curious about is if you have 4 instances do you have to roll saves for all 4 at the end of your turn, or will one save take care of all of it. It seems like 1 should take care of all of it for something like being on fire, but for a poison or bleed effect, I'm not so sure. Cant wait to see what real PF DMs think.
