Not entirely sure how I feel about it. On one hand it is super creepy like you say but ultimately it just sort of doesn't go anywhere. It has great atmosphere and has a violence that feels very brutal which not just being pure torture porn or anything. Appropriately violent may be the best description, it matches the tone. Some of the shots are way over staged though which shouldn't bother me b/c I mean hey no one wants to look at shitty camera angles or anything, but here for whatever reason it stuck out. That's purely a me thing though probably.

But yeah, it was good. Quiet, slow, strange. My kind of flick. Just wish it had stuck the landing.

*edit: also, Nirgon Nirgon fix your damn thread. Were you as drunk making the thread as I was when starting to watch this?

This movie scared the shit outta my wife

I was mildly inebriated when I made the post but that changes nothing as far as doing it right or fixing it

Finished it, really enjoyed it. Interesting ending but in the moment was a little easy to see coming. I found it creepy and really well done. Much better than most other horror movies last ten years. Probably my fave since Hereditary (although not nearly as good, I hold H as best horror movie ever)

I dont know what I was expecting, I just didnt care for this one. I usually really like horror movies so I was a bit miffed that I didnt like it. Just seems too.. campy? For my taste.

Felt the same way.

Also seeing the poor goat, as a goat owner, come limping back missing a leg was the most horrendous part of the film for me.
