It is a bit of a stretch, even though they try to explain it with her previous experience as a CIA station chief? You'd think she would understand the grey. At least they're bringing her around.I don't like how naive the Ambassador is. She is a child out there and blames her husband for his real politik.
Like all shows, the have this great idea for S1 and have no idea if it will get renewed. When it hits and gets renewed they struggle to keep the quality of the writing going. The Wire is one of the few shows that really stayed top shelf start to finish (and it even had some weaker spots during the run).Well I really liked this show, hell I think I started this thread but they seem to have lost the plot this season. Not exactly sure what but instead of wanting more I found myself FF in episode 3 and when it was apparent they same stupid shit was going to happen in episode 4, I just deleted it all.
Which is interesting to say given two of the actors were on West Wing. In fact I found it really interesting that the two actors played a married couple in this show. I loved Bradley Whitford's Josh Lyman in West Wing, so it was kind of nice to see the actor come back in this show.I am surprised by the lukewarm reception of this season. I guess the mix is slightly different, with almost no cloak and dagger anymore, so if it's the aspect you enjoyed the most about the show, maybe you feel let down. Personally, I love negotiations and verbal jousting and it's basically just that wall to wall, be it in the war room or the bedroom. In this niche, off the top of my head, I can't think of something better since The West Wing.
