This was good. Netflix really nails all their sports docu shows. They did a good job showing the rise and fall of Hogan.
Watched 1ep, was good. Holy shit Jessie Ventura looked bad. Will watch the rest later. Pretty good. I liked fake wrestling when I was a kid but stopped right before they were forced to admit it was all fake. Still interesting even if you are not a fan.

might have said it before, but I grew up basically down the street from The Sportatorium and went often with my uncle. I outgrew wrestling, but I still appreciate the sport.

People call it fake, but that’s not at all accurate or fair. It’s scripted. Big fucking difference. Those guys, at least when I was growing up and visiting them, were fucking tough. They had “tricks” to bleed on cue, sure, but they still took damage. Still needed to be athletes capable of pulling off those moves or they’d kill themselves and others.

They glossed over a ton of shit things Hogan did, but all in all a solidly produced Doc.

Born to Bowl, and that Dark Wizard one are pretty good as well.

The basically made years of his reality TV series life into a small 10 minute discussion. Also, did anyone else notice Brooke Hogan wasn't interviewed once?

I looked that up and she hadnt spoken to Hulk in a few years. Didnt even go to his funeral and did not want to be part of the doc. She didnt like the way his life went. Couldnt really blame her.

Was also shocked Nick wasnt still in jail and they never brought that up.

if you watch the documentary , Hogan himself says it's fake. He also says he thought he wasn't tough enough to be a wrassler until he saw just how fake it was.

It's a bunch of sweaty guys rolling around over each other. Now I may or may not be trying to goad you. ;)

EDIT: Forgot to mention, finished this morning. Surprised they didn't mention the son killing the guy , and only partially mentioned the incident with LoveSponge's wife. Pretty good doc. Couldn't help notice it seemed like he had an ego too big to quit and enjoy what he had.

I was sitting in a chair that I got to with an upright walker watching a multi millionaire complain about back surgeries. They said somewhere he had 10? , well that's 3 more than me.
