Like I said, I hope you are right. To put down another example of why I still fear for TESVI, compare the franchise to Diablo. D1/2 made by Blizzard North, Blizzard North then absorbed into Blizzard during WoW crunch time ... next Diablo made by them didnt exactly live up to the franchise's expectations.

if you have a real hard on for this game, a beta tester posted a 1.8gig torrent file of him just wandering around and shit, they already deleted the youtube version and his original reddit comments but you can see the thread here

That does not make any sense. It's run by the same parent company, similar to SWTOR and Bioware/EA. Yes, the 'leadership' is different but if they aren't leveraging a lot of the same underlying resources, I'll be very surprised. They both report to the same CEO at Zenimax Media. They both are given marching orders by that same group.

At the end of the day, it wouldn't surprise me to see a lot more legacy Elder Scrolls people working on this game than MMO transplants. The bigger issue is will this end up like SWTOR: a good single player game with a few coop elements, but utterly lacking any hooks, endgame, or differentiation from other published MMORPGs.

Anyways, From Zenimax's FAQ:

How exactly are you related to Bethesda Softworks again?ZeniMax Media owns both Bethesda Softworks as well as ZeniMax Online Studios. Bethesda makes AAA console-oriented titles, and ZeniMax Online (us!) makes MMOGs. They aren't. And distance apart means jack shit when working with the hero engine. They could have offices in Iceland for fuck's sake and still be in the same room using a C40 with dual display.

Bethesda wants nothing to do with these fucking idiots. They are jokes around the office, and they are not even close to working on the same game. They are writing this shitbag off faster than Bioware denied KOTOR2's history when Obsidian actually made a better game. (Too bad LA fucked over it's launch)

Don't even think anyone in Maryland wants anything to do with these hacks.

To stick with the Blizzard analogy, not wanting to have anything to do with it doesnt give you free choice within the corporate structure. Some of the Blizzard North devs decided to take their hats back then but thats probably all the say they had in it. The Elder Scrolls team at Bethesda could be facing a similar situation within the year if Zenimax pushes them out of their comfort zone because TESO needs all the help it can get. If your description of their attitude towards the actual TESO team is correct, I guess enough would seek out greener pastures to cripple the single player IP. Wouldnt even phase Zenimax probably because they're clueless and then they push out TESVI after sinking the MMO and it turns into a D3-Style abortion because the remaining team is mostly new.

I support some of your posts but you make some outlandish claims without any evidence. The game will likely suck, that's obvious, but they recently moved so when exactly did you go to their office, and why?

P.much spot on. You don't have to be Nostradamus to know this game is going to at the very ultimate best be a one month and done snooze fest average mmo, and very likely going to be way shittier than that. That said, after actually reading Untayen posts for the first time, Its really hard to take anything he he says in any amount of seriousness.

It makes sense that Ut's source or apparently many sources are at Bethesda. I'm sure a lot of those nerds are butthurt that they didn't get picked to work on the MMO. Probably bitter and all kinds of rustled over there.
