It seems like most of the people at Telltale v.2 were tasked with getting stuff up and running with Unreal Engine 5. Deck Nine supposedly did almost all the work on The Expanse (also probably why it's actually a pretty good game). I guess if the Telltale workers finally finished getting the engine ported over to UE5 there wasn't much reason to keep them (or redundant art staff like the guy who broke the news) around when the narrative/cinematic work can just be finished by AdHoc Studio.
