Is it as accessible as League of Legends was in comparison to DotA? If the inputs and timing are mechanically demanding then I'm not sure how the free to play microtransaction model was ever going to work.

I posted in another thread- but the game was too up its own FGC pro ass to ever really hit it big. Too complex, too aggro. When Justin Wong, of all people is meh on your tag fighter. You fucked up. It was literally built by fgc pros. The Cannons ran evo, and designed the standard netcode for fighting games. The combat designers were mostly all former pro competitors.

It doesn't help they took took 10 years to release 11 characters in a tag game. It's really not that complicated. People just wanted to play a decent chunk of the league roster in fighting game format. But they think they could get away with 11 and 30$ skins lol. Sometimes DEI ruins games. Other times it's greed.
Funny enough; we can say dei fucked the game too, there like 2 to 5 character I would play. These characters aren't the hypest or the sexiest picks. I dont know league but is that really it for the characters people want.

I think I heard it before but the fact that there pro players making these games are a issue on its own. That's where we get "function vs function" and shit. They miss the point of some of these games

A bold design decision.
