Saw it last night. It was really good.

I saw Hong Kong at first and thought it was going to be a Chinese-style action flick, but it ended up being a much more brutal Indonesion-style movie, like The Raid or The Night Comes for Us.

Did a little research and found this blurb that explained a little more:
"This was a blast. A Chinese mute looks for his daughter while an Indonesian tries to find his Thai journalist wife. Meanwhile, all the locals and henchmen are speaking Tagalog and English. All this while shot in Thailand with a Japanese director and fight choreographer."

Highly recommend.

Found Furious Attack when looking for this a month back. HK cinema. Over the top set pieces and explosions. Mandarin only though.

A friend wanted to see this and I told him flat out no thanks. We LOVED The Raid and saw The Raid 2 as well, but this one's choreography just looks off. Punches aren't landing hard, they flatten their hands to strike and they look like it's patty cake, even that scene with the dude with the hammer looks like he's tickling them with his strikes. Not sure what the deal is, but it just looks shittier than the choreography from The Raid.
