The original Street Fighter tried to play it straight(ish?) and wound up being one of the best camp-fests ever. Or maybe that was just Raul Julia trying to treat it like a real movie while everyone else got high and did dumb shit.

This one looks like they intentionally went full camp, aiming to replicate the reception of the first. That may cause them to completely miss the landing.
