Enjoyed Abiotic Factor a bunch earlier this year, very Half Life 2 vibe to it. Kingdom Come 2 I've also heard was really good although I haven't played it yet. Same for Blue Prince heard a lot of good things about it but haven't played it yet. I hear a bunch about Dispatch but that'd fall in the Hades 2 category of being very LGBT oriented, also hardly a game, pretty sure it's one of these walking simulator/visual novel type.Maybe where I’ve flipped from MMO/arpg to a single player story focused gamer for the last two years, but this year kinda sucked on that front. Expedition 33 was about it. And from what I could tell the close second was either Death Stranding 2 or Hades 2 depending on if you liked pretentious bullshit or gay loads.

Oh yeah I definitely don't know about it, only saw it on Twitch(just the viewer numbers didn't check a stream to avoid spoilers) and Reddit, I assumed it would have some LGBT stuff based on char designs and just being a modern story centric game. It seems to have been pretty well received though.lol you clearly don't know much about the game. It's got pretty much 0 LGBT stuff in it, so not sure how you got that impression - even Critical Grifter enjoyed it.
It is however mostly a visual novel-style game with the strategy-like gameplay interludes where you dispatch certain heroes on missions based on their skillsets. Although visual novel isn't an apt term - more like an interactive cartoon in the vein of Invincible where you can choose outcomes/how to respond to certain situations.
