Retards of the Old Republic

Supposedly Obsidian hired Tim Cain back as a full-time employee. I have to imagine the only reason he'd come out of "semi-retirement" is for a pretty massive franchise like SWTOR 3, Neverwinter 3, or BG4.

Too early for Larian, and don’t see them locking themselves into any platform.

If Xbox is true, it is most likely Diablo

I think it's Elder Scrolls 6. It's been forever and Starfield was a couple of years ago, about time for Bethesda to announce something.

Bethesda isn't shy about promoting during the Game Awards, so it is quite possible. Besides, the sooner they show more of ES6, the sooner they can actually tease Fallout 5

Fallout 5 is at least a 2032 game - Bethesda isn't going to put any real headcount on it until Elder Scrolls 6 comes out, and despite optimism on the internet, that is an at least 2027 game. The show will almost certainly be over by then, so there's no rush to get a tie-in product that would hurry that development along. Furthermore, if Fallout 5's timeline is post-show, they'd kind of need the show to be over anyway.

Todd and co. haven't quite lost enough shine that Microsoft would give Fallout 5 to someone else to finish earlier than that, though if Bethesda can't even add updated textures / DLC without breaking their games completely, that decision may not be the same in a couple years. I can see Microsoft giving a Fallout _spinoff_ game to someone to keep the brand fresh while there's still TV show interest. *cough*Insert predictable Obsidian /Tim Cain comment here*cough*

Does anyone watch this for anything other than the trailers and reveals? These aren't the Oscars...hell they aren't even the Golden Globes

I used to watch to look for people I knew.

Now I mostly do that with the "in memoriam" aka the who croaked section of the gdc awards.

People still watch the Oscar's and Golden Globes? Hollywood has been focusing on activism for so long that I dont even know people that have gone to the movies since Star Wars went into the shitter, myself included.

Gaming these days prolly makes more money than Hollywood, so why would people not be interested in award shows? I mean, I not, but others im sure are.
