Seriously though, the stupid is being massaged into the public conscious via very effective propaganda and the irony is it takes too much effort to dispute it. Like what am I supposed to say when sent a flurry of "history" articles that paint Russia as some bastion of jogger rights? Hell, I can't even effectively argue the value of sex/gender anymore because some art student just sends me a NEJM "science" article tearing down reality. It's not even people being "stupid" anymore, inasmuch not recognizing that their authorities have started to gaslight them. Reality has been inverted and historians and scientists have jumped on board.

Usually you can just read their own articles to clobber them with.
They were also employed in this capacity in Russia. There is evidence that there were Moors residing in the apartments of Sister Martha, mother of first Romanov Tsar Mikhail Fyodorovich (Michael of Russia). In the female half of the palace, black people performed the same function as dwarfs, holy fools and wandering pilgrims - they were objects of astonishment and entertainment for the bored women of the royal family forced to spend almost their entire life locked up in their private quarters.
As the article mentions, by the time of Catherine the Great, a single black man had been raised to any kind of serious station and there were a few black guys kept at court as an exotic entertainment. These men were nearly always described as fools/jesters or servants (Except for the one exception). The idea that any of them were nobility or had a noble station isn't even brought up in the article.
Half of these fools don't even read their own links, and the people who write this misinformation know it--its why the titles are always so misleading.

So there are 50k black people in Russia today that are heavily discriminated against, but you want to argue that that blacks were more prolific in Russia 300 years ago, and were less discriminated against then, than today? The Great, Bridgerton, and the rest of these "historical" pieces are basically fucking garbage tier versions of Dangerous Liasons for Gen Z retards, and the fact that every second character is some black dude an eye-roll worthy revision. Might as well remake Amistad with some read headed irish.

Bezos has all the money in the world, but even the best looking costumes in Wheel of Time look like beggars outfits when compared to this show !
I know that these costumes are historical, but come on, put some flames and serpents eating their own tails on those costumes and use them in Wheel of Time.
