Yea it was, I'm thinking the first 1/3 was setup for the premise of the show that was intentionally light on comedy and hopefully the rest of the season will be more like the convention - because from the convention on (well, really - returning to downstairs after the guest visit) it was pretty damn good. End wound down a little bit, but was still funnier than most stuff on TV.
