Only in these parts can one call dictator a democratically elected president that got removed from office by a coup and replaced by a military junta for almost 2 decades (during which thousands of political opponents went "missing" - people still to this day are combing the Atacama desert looking for the remains of relatives). Even his political opponents in the '70s did not call Salvador Allende a dictator. Hell! Not even Kissinger and the CIA, who were instrumental in his demise, were calling him a dictator.

Was waiting until season finale to watch this show. Lots of ups and downs in the thread regarding quality.

But I do have to say. Episode 5 is some of the best tv I've seen.

Still, that wasn't the main thing that triggered my intuition. So *shrugs*. New poster in 2023 using the N word out of nowhere is probably an alt as well so hey.

Lol I gotta say, it's hysterical to me that so many morons on this forum were up in arms about the shitty patch up job on Joel. As if Ellie, the actual child, would know any better.

The season was whatever, definitely not a show for me. The focus of the show (human suffering/overcoming trauma) was just never really appealing to me. Had to fast forward both the flash back episodes. Wasnt even about the LGBT, I was just bored to tears.

Flashbacks in small 20 second doses to give context? Cool. Entire episodes devoted to them? Fast forward all day. Ep3 and Ep7 were both fast forward material. Content doesn't even matter.

Just watched the "Christian" episode you guys were whining about. What... pray tell.. about those people did you identify with as Christian? They were just religious zealot maniacs with a messiah complex leader. Like so many groups that exist in real life.

Somehow the elevator in the hospital was working after 20 years while in our office they shut them down 2-3 times a year for repairs or maintenance...

I don't think we were critiquing her technique, more that he would have been dead from blood loss, septic shock, bacterial infection, etc.
