Was worth the torrent, 4k hdr rip was very good. Kept the chatter to a minimum and no sidekick girlboss marysue to emasculate him, so they understood why the tv series fell off a cliff. We watched hoping to see some cute grogu stuff, and I was hoping to see him shoot some people, so it delivered. I readily admit my needs are simple. 8/10.

It was okay, it's not some movie I'd watch again though, because I think it felt so much overproduced I'd rather slip into coma than having to deal with Disney writing again.

Forgot this garbage finally made it to streaming. Guess I'll force myself to watch it tonight.

It's decent Season 1 and 2 slop, albeit hyperviolent at times. Biggest issue is the time for it has passed and the franchise is sullied by what Season 3 became.

There's a little glimmer of memba mando berries nostalgia-- thinking of it now, the feeling is hardly more bitter.

I dunno, after watching it a second time. I still enjoyed this. I think it needed to have a more grand scale to it, but there was a lot of story from past shows that was expanded on.

Yea, I feel like I'll probably think this is okay, but watching it will make me remember season 3, which will make me mad. With mando the screaming girl power harpies had to ruin something good. Easily the worst season of star wars other than acolyte.... and acolyte was at least comically bad as it pissed all over the franchise, s3 was just boring bad.

Favreau has never been shy to apologize to fans, publicly or otherwise ala the Boba Fett mea culpa he wrote. This was an apology, but to what end, we don't know. If there was another upcoming project to pair better with it'd carry a lot more weight. It has some tie-ins but not enough.

finally watched it, guess better than the last season, but just seemed very lazy. grogu just seems badly done especially when using his hands. seen better articulation with grade school projects

This is basic, enjoyable Mando content, nothing amazing, not bad. If you enjoyed the series it'll be fine. Seeing the Hutts actually fight and do something was interesting.

rewatched mando s1 & s2 before watching this on vacation. It was better than I expected, I thought it was gonna be worse than season 3 and it wasn't.

a swole hutt is stupid as hell, as was the 15 minutes of the movie where Grogu becomes an 80s action star but maybe kids will like that shit, I dunno. The movie had a lot of strong Return of the Jedi vibes (Nal Hutta reminded me of Endor) and I liked the boss monster fights. All in all you could definitely tell it was an outline of a TV season converted into a movie but it was fine to watch at home.

Didn't really expand the lore/story in any way and felt like a weird one off adventure. It will be funny if this is the last time we ever see these 2 characters, there is zero character growth in this movie.

Some of the CGI was wonky, I honestly couldn't tell if it was a tribute to the 70s stop motion claymation movies (Clash of the Titans) or if it was just shitty CGI lol. Not sure why Sigorney Weaver is in this movie, and a few times Filoni makes a smug cameo as a x-wing pilot.
