I had a buddy in college who turned me on a Fear factory and those two God damn albums were always in one of our CD players. Jesus I haven't listened to them in eons. It was classic late '90s metal. It's crazy to think that stuff is almost 30 years old.

Was listening to some Melvins last night. I think I got Houdini from Columbia back in the Glory Days where you get 12 CDs for a dollar or something. I know I built my whole early collection back in the 90s through that whole deal.

I could see these guys a week apart in two different continents! See them in Japan then I'll be home in time to see them in AU (already have tickets). Would have to reschedule my plans in Japan though as I'm planning to be in Osaka that day. Hmm decisions decisions.


This new vocalist touring with them has an entertaining energy about her

I saw Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, and their opener The Hu (the Mongolian metal band) last night.

Fucking Marilyn Manson KILLED it. Dude still sounds as good as he did 15-20+ years ago at almost 60. Still great voice, hits all the notes, high energy, fun shit.

Rob Zombie on the other hand “talk singed” the few songs we stayed for and it was like ehhh. His visuals were really fucking cool though. Maybe he’s just a bit rough at the last show of their tour.

Hu were actually really cool too.

I've seen Manson twice live and he was absolutely terrible both times. He would walk off stage during songs and constantly beat the microphone on his podium making horrific fucking feedback. He did it both times during his entire set. He's pure trash live.

Wasn’t like that at all yesterday.

I know he’s been erratic and on drugs in the past. He was on point, didn’t fuck around, and nailed everything.
