Man, what an unfortunate episode. My wife was the one who said "as good as the show is, that might be enough to get me to stop watching." Seems like a major misstep to have literally the entire cast throw a fit about it, when it's got like an 80% approval rating. It's where living in your LA bubble really hurts you.

Only way they can redeem it is if ICE comes in and has a record bust on the hospital staff.

Couldn't tube. They couldnt' crike because no practice (which is ridic bc you practice this when you're allowed to tube). Magic female doc could (lol).

Dr. Yoo says nobody is trained on that method but you could try it rather than let someone die. I time stamped the part where he's talking about it.

Its interesting because the whole ICE storyline is unnecessary and political, and definitely detracts from the show.

But one thing me and the wife were talking about, was they didn't exactly make the ICE guys the bad guys here. The hospital staff's and patient's overreaction to them being there caused all the issues. The ICE agents didn't actually "do" anything, other than arrest someone obviously obstructing them.

I was also wondering if these dumbasses had never seen cops bring criminals who had been shot/whatever in before. Of course they would deal with people under arrest every day. A person being in ICE detention wouldn't be any different than someone in police custody, and they would have to deal with that every single day.

So, just completely unnecessarily political for no gain. The ICE guys weren't even portrayed badly. Why do this? Makes no sense.

You just answered it yourself - they're adding current stuff to add to the realism because the show takes place "in the real world". Is it realistic that some people might over-react and cause an escalation? Yes. Is it realistic that all agents aren't all poorly trained idiots? Yes. People are just so hypertrained to emotionally react to shit now because of online rage engagement that they ignore context. You actually noticed some of the context.

It's hard to have a medical or legal or law enforcement show that is supposed to be realistic and not address current topics.

the pitt seems to have writers that cram as much sjw in per episode like it's their last season

That's odd. We are, in my part eurocuckistan. It's a halo procedure. Your timestamp, to me, shows the valve, not the cico. Do you want me to watch the whole thing to find your point or...?

High acuity low occurrence procedures. If I can't get a specialist in time, and the patient is expected to die or severely disabled if I do nothing, it's best that I'm familiar with the procedure, make a judgment call on whether to do it, and live with the consequences. The Pitt is full of those halo procedures, burr hole, clam shell, cico and cric on kids - others like perimortem sectio, pericardio centesis etc etc. The crazy stuff we hope to never experience.
