I mean, from a comedically bad perspective, acolyte takes the cake. Boba is a close second. Fat warrior with the slow motion bike diversity squad was just all around embaressing, and I'd say obi was as bad as those two. But if I were to look at it from a critical stance of someone not invested into star wars, I can understand someone saying obi was the worst of all 3. Everything with leia was just awful, and a low of the show was boring. As horrible as acolyte was, it did bring more entertainment value than obi did... and most of the worst stuff was an affront because it pissed on star wars lore, which an outsider wouldn't give two shits about.

True. We tried it as well. Didn't make it past episode 2 with either girl, though. Cancelled D+ this week, price increased 33%, almost doubled since launch, and no new content justifying it atm.

Like I literally can't tell if he's mocking people thinking the prequels are 'good' by making the preposterous claim that The Acolyte is mediocre in comparison, or if he's with Jay that anything that says modern media is bad is right wing grifting*.
*Of course, the concept of Youtube grifting is nonsensical and baseless itself, yet another leftist attempt to discredit anything they don't agree with their 'problematic' branding of the year - I haven't heard of any examples of Youtube reviewers being outted as lefists that were disguised as rightists for clicks.
It's even more amusing when he includes Angry Joe Show clips in his grifter list - they still insanely repeat 'Trump / republicans bad' every chance they get, while every other video I've seen of theirs is them saying 'Leftist product X is shit'.

He is mocking people who are hot taking prequels are good. He also understand these people are doing this because, while the prequels are indeed bad, they felt like they were made with someone with an actual vision . The new Star Wars stuff generally is bad for a different reason, there is no vision and its all corporate slop meant to appeal to every single audience, and when you try to appeal to everyone you end up appealing to noone. What he said about the Acolyte is that, yea its not good but the people who did it tried to do something very different and had a vision for what they wanted to do. If more people were hired with an actual vision for a show or movie maybe eventually they would get something that is actually good like Andor (which had a singular vision + different + the things Acolyte lacked like a gripping story and amazing writing and acting).
IDK why this is so hard for everyone to understand. Its like its breaking peoples brains that while they recognize the Acolyte is not good its not cause women or minority bad.

Except in the same video he says Rogue One is still bad, offering nothing but nostalgia, when (imo) the only positive of Rogue One is that it has a unique tone (for Star Wars, anyway), while completely missing that the reason why everything in Acolyte is familiar is because its more leftist (pop-)cultural vandalism, saying everything (including the timeline breaking Plagueis) you CIS white men like was done by one or more of women/coloreds/gays/etc. first, you -ists.

Dont like Rogue One and you are surprised? Jesus Christ. They are not inherently wrong that it is just nostalgia bait but AGAIN, it was different (till well it wasnt when Vader showed up). It was a mess and the acting was all over the place and CGI Tarkin is retarded, and stupid shit like the dudes from the Cantina in A New Hope being in it is mega retarded but I didn't hate it. I saw it twice. Once in theaters and once after finishing Andor season 2. I think I hated it the second time because Andor was just SO much better.
This doesn't have to do with anything being familiar, its saying the people who made Acolyte had a vision for what the show was to be, what it would look like and what the themes would be and who it may appeal to. None of that makes any product good, but what it does do is a give a product a solid foundation to be good. Apparently it wasn't a story people enjoyed and the acting was bad and the culture war exists so it failed. It didn't fail because of Darth fucking Plageus (what the fuck who the fuck cares), or some frame by frame analysis of the lightsaber fight or Angry Joe screeching like a retard. Andor is a really woke show, but noone cared. I cant fucking imagine why (can you figure it out)
The only thing I wish he would have talked about more was Solo film before Lord and Miller were fired. They obviously had a specific vision for that movie and Disney AGAIN wanted it to appeal to everyone and the end result was trash. A Lord and Miller Star Wars comedy like 21 Jump Street could have been something very special and VERY different. Instead we got something I cant even remember watching.
Again if you want them to rail on culture war shit you shouldn't be watching them. They are much more likely to mock people doing that or fans that do. They called Disney cowards for not shipping Rey and Finn, if Disney listened to them I think the meltdown would have been epic to witness.
