Come On People GIF

Remember when there used to be plants or greenery whether it be fake or real in fast food restaurants to give the place a welcoming sense of ambience.

I do...

Then you aren't a true fan.
Neither am I, though.
If others on here are like, "This video is great and really fun.", I might watch it but otherwise they gush over ST:tNG a little too much for my tastes but I don't begrudge them for making the content and wouldn't be bothered if they made more. As long as they don't sell out like AVGN did I will keep an eye on what they release.

Haven’t seen an AVGN in a while, how did he sell out?

Haven’t seen an AVGN in a while, how did he sell out?

He grew older and had kids, one of which has severe medical issues, so for a few years now he's paid someone to write his scripts (only for AVGN skits as far as I know).

That bastard.

I absolutely loved Mystery Men when it came out.

I finally rewatched it recently and got nothing out of it. It may just be the (now fully revealed) politics of everyone involved, it may just be the sheer number of deconstructionist comic properties out there, but the charm is lost (for me, anyway).

Unfortunately there's been a whole lot of

over the years. Mystery Men did a lot of things right poking fun at different comic book things with some real high points (mostly involving William H Macy) but it's also cheap and unfunny at times as well. I appreciated what it was doing at the time and it was ahead of the game in a lot of ways but I expect I'd have a hard time sitting through it now.

Ben Stiller kinda sucks in it as does his character.

Infinite radio plays, infinite plays on VH1, gets used in Shrek, moar infinite plays. What a fucking single.

this is another one where I basically just disagree with 95% of what they said.

Calling it an Austin powers copycat. Comparing it to Austin powers at all. so bizzare.
Austin powers is a full on parody/spoof. this was not. Shrek would actually be closer to this. obviously The Tick and others are right in line.

comparing Captain amazing to homelander...

most of their claims to improve the comedy are not better.. im not saying its a perfect movie. its clearly not. and yes, austin powers was better. but why are we even comparing them?

basically only the prosthetic arm gag. yeah, swapping it around would make more sense. almost wonder if it was intentionally breaking the joke.
mystery men are quirky screwballs...
also never liked Paul Reubens in it.

"can't mix powers and no powers" Also just stupid.. batman, ironman, Green arrow..
AND, most of the mystery men DO have powers. just super weak, lame ones. mr. furious is right. he can get super strength. preternatural ability to throw forks is also a super power. same with shoveling.
the joke is the powers are lame not that they don't have them at all.

that goes into their statements of Azarias mom calling the loony bin. they just didn't understand the movie.

Close ups for mr. Furious works. wide shot would not have been funny at all. what a stupid statement. shit would have looked like a sitcom.
out of place close ups for shoveler talking to his wife is probably to keep up the same style as a joke, when its wildly out of place for that conversation.

1999 this was 2 years after Batman and Robin. 1997. it reused sets.
98- blade
97- spawn, batman and robin, steel
96-darkman 3, the phantom
95-batman forever, judge dredd, darkman 2, tankgirl
94-the crow, blankman, the mask.
93-the meteor man, robocop 3.

As noted before, BLADE is what kicked off Marvel.
xmen was 2000. as was unbreakable.
spiderman 2002
