Fuck. Few days ago I had a pt with a bad cut in the saggital plane over the chin split it in two right to the gingiva. No mask or protection of any kind. The guy was working an industrial angle grinder, bounced of a wall, blade hit right onto his chin, cut it up, lip split in two. Uh...does it hurt? No, I don’t want general anaesthesia. Shaking from adrenaline rush. Alrighty then. I’m just gonna give you some iv morphine, CT for fractures and we wait for the jaw surgeon to stitch you up. Sit tight, Sir.
