Amazon is trash. Expensive trash. Often, their prices are much higher for the same thing at other stores.
Further, they produce a shocking amount of waste. A huge % of returns are simply thrown away. All this cheap Chinese garbage gets put on giant ships, then on semis, then moved around, delivered, returned, moved around, then hauled to the dump.
IMO, all the shit coming out of China needs to have a 1000% tax put on it. If they can afford to ship things to us and have it thrown away, then they can afford to pay the tax. A tax, mind you, not a tariff.
