Those mantis shrimps are apex predators. Would love to see a simulation of what their vision is like. They have way better eyes than we do and guns for hands.

Nah those are mantis shrimp, absolute psycho clowns of the ocean. There's also a spearing variety. The club ones are apparently so veracious it's not uncommon for them to smash the aquariums they're in.



Pistol shrimp are are actual shrimp that use their claws like a pistol, the cavitation produced by it snapping shut stuns whatever they're hunting.
