Got disrespectful with caricature portrayals of the Italians.
And not in a Soprano's good way either.
Castellano has rarely been portrayed on screen and this ain't it. The cannoli bit was fucking stupid. This was the boss of bosses.
I get it's a hokey show about Irish hooligans-- and not to expect a portrayal of the Italians as anything other than props for the main characters to sound off on....
But given they are using the characters real life historical names for Italians, and not using any real names for the Irish characters.....
I can now say, fuck this slop.
Giving John Gotti more of a straight-laced portrayal than the boss of bosses in Castellano (the last white collar boss to still maintain a street presence) is unforgivable.
And not in a Soprano's good way either.
