I got pretty into it it back in the Armstrong days. It can be pretty entertaining if you are invested in a rider and understand the strategy and team dynamics. I actually took time off work to watch a stage a couple of times. Floyd Landis' breakaway that won him the tour in '06 was one of the best sports events I've watched. I never cared about the doping because they were all doped so in my mind it was a level playing field.
That said I haven't paid attention in like 15 years and I couldn't name a single pro cyclist today.
