Not Begbie. He wasn't on heroin, just tried to sell it. He was more psychotic than addicted to anything, and unlike most others in the movie he never really progressed past that. Guessing he is the main driving force in the second one since your scenario is probably fairly accurate.

Tl;dr version of script: Some dead, some living quiet lives, enter Begbie.

If it is a "Hollywood" movie, it will most likely be predictable. Thing happens that puts the main character in the media, Begbie sees it and remembers he was fucked over, following blackmail to keep past from present, some score or the likes, ends with somewhat redemption for Begbie possibly with a "twist" that he dies.

Might be more creative control from the main cast since their names are bigger now, which can make it unpredictable, but either way will most likely end up as a decent R rated dark comedy.

Great movie that does not need a sequel. I hope I'm wrong cause I loved the characters.

The book has a sequel called "Porno" and I guess the movie is based on that? There's some info in the story.

The book sequel was good and the way of was set later could be done well on screen. I am looking forward to this.

I have no sauce but have been following this for years. Boyle said years ago this would be done around 2016, would only be loosely based on 'Porno', and the extra time would be needed to make it look as if only 9 years had passed since they are all such good looking guys. I think it's a guaranteed Oscar or three. This isn't just some random idea for cash.

Wasn't there also some hold up because Boyle and McGregor had a falling out over McGregor not getting the lead in the beach
