I rented the Abyss Directors Cut off Netflix and it arrived as the standard narrow-screen edition.

Did I get fucked out of crucial plot elements?? I mean, here"s a screenshot of what I saw, and what I MISSED. Maybe this is why he is confused. Look at how much crucial PLOT is cut out of the narrow screen.
